Synopsis:
This slick MTV production injects some teenage angst into Emily Bronte's classic tale of star-crossed love, hate, and revenge. The contemporary spin touches everything from the characters' clothing, to their names (Heathcliff becomes "Heath"), to their pastimes (Heath wants to be a rock star!). Though it boils down the classic tale to its essence, this program provides an interesting take on the universal emotions elucidated in Bronte's work.
